Report says Apple will launch backlit scissor-style keyboard for new iPad

In addition to rumors of a new iPad this year, the company now seems to be planning a new keyboard for the new iPad, according to DigiTimes . This keyboard will be different from the previous Apple smart keyboard, and will be closer to the design of a notebook computer in design. With iPadOS, the iPad's performance will be more prominent.

It is reported that the keyboard will support the backlight function and adopt a scissors-type structure, which is expected to be launched in the second half of 2020. In addition, the report also reiterated that in the first half of 2020, Apple will first launch a 13-inch MacBook Pro with a scissor-like keyboard.

Apple's MacBook series in the past few years has adopted a butterfly structure on the keyboard, but the keyboard has a higher failure rate, and many people think that the feel is not as good as the scissors structure. Therefore, in their latest 16-inch MacBook Pro, The keyboard has been changed into a scissors-type structure. Although the smart keyboard has not received much criticism in the past, most of them also think that the typing feel is far worse than that of a notebook computer. If Apple really introduces a smart keyboard with a scissors-type structure, it will probably be loved by many consumers.
