iOS 14 makes AirPods smarter and automatically switch devices

iOS 14 provides more improvements to AirPods, one of which is to allow AirPods to reduce pairing switching time. For users with many Apple devices, although AirPods can be used to switch between different devices, it is often done manually, and the experience is not smooth. However, under iOS 14, iPadOS 14 and macOS Big Sur environment, switching devices will become very simple and smart.

At present, if users have finished listening to Podcasts on iPhone and want to switch to iPad to watch Netflix, switching from iPhone to iPad used to need to change the device. In iOS 14/iPadOS 14, as long as the user switches to the iPad to open the Netflix app after playing the Podcast, your AirPods will automatically switch to iPad pairing.

Users can even turn off the iPad and use FaceTime on the MacBook to have a meeting, and AirPods will automatically switch from the iPad to the MacBook connection. If the iPhone has an incoming call at this time, you will also switch to the iPhone when you answer the call.
