Bloomberg: MacBook Air will push high-end version to support MagSafe

Today Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman said that Apple is developing a thinner and lighter version of the MacBook Air , which is expected to be launched in the second half of this year or 2022 at the earliest, and will support MagSafe charging technology.

It is reported that the size of this MacBook Air will remain at the current 13 inches, but the screen frame will be reduced. In addition, he also stated that the company is also considering developing a MacBook Air equipped with a 15-inch screen, but according to sources, a MacBook Air of this size will not be implemented in the next generation.

In terms of interface, it will support the MagSafe function that was abandoned in the previous revision, and there will be a pair of USB 4 connectors for connecting external devices. However, the new version of MacBook Air will appear as a high-end product. In other words, the current entry-level MacBook Air will continue to be sold on the shelf.
