ARM version of MacBook may be launched in the next 12 to 18

With the advent of the iPad Pro, its A12X processor outperforms most desktop computers, making many people expect Macs to switch to Apple's own ARM processors. Recently, Apple analyst Guo Mingyu said that Apple will apply its 5nm processor to the new Mac within the next 12 to 18 months.

If Apple switches to its own processor, it will be able to get rid of Intel's restrictions. In the future, hardware can be better integrated with software to achieve more features Apple wants to add. In fact, starting with macOS Catalina, Aple used the Catalyst program to make iOS software easy and quick to port to macOS, in preparation for ARM processor software versions.
