Apple's quarterly industry continues to record significant growth across product lines

Apple today announced the results of the first quarter of 2021, reflecting the operating conditions of the fourth quarter of last year. Revenue for the quarter was US$111.44 billion, an increase of 21% year-on-year, and profit was US$28.76 billion, an increase of more than 29% year-on-year.

The increase was mainly due to the robust sales of the iPhone 12 series during the period, with sales increasing by 17% year-on-year to US$65.5 billion, accounting for 59% of Apple's profit. Benefitting from work and study at home, iPad sales increased 41% year-on-year to 8.435 billion US dollars. The Mac grew by 21.15% year-on-year, and sales amounted to US$8.676 billion. The revenue of accessories and wearable devices increased by 29.58%, and the service category increased by 23.95%.

And Apple's revenue in China has increased significantly. China's revenue increased by 57% to 21.31 billion US dollars, compared with 13.58 billion US dollars in the same period last year.
