Apple releases M1 processors for MacBook Air, MacBook Pro 13 and Mac mini

Today, Apple officially announced the launch of the first batch of Macs using its own M1 chip , including MacBook Air 13, MacBook Pro 13, and Mac mini. The three Macs were officially pre-sold in Hong Kong today and officially launched on November 17. Taiwan is yet to be announced.

M1 processor is fast and power-saving

The Apple M1 chip takes our most flexible and versatile desktop computer to another level. With 3 times faster CPU performance, 6 times faster image processing, and our most advanced neural network engine, machine learning is 15 times faster. Everything is ready, Mac mini will help you to work, play, and create with speed and power beyond imagination.

MacBook Air: thin and light

MacBook Air is Apple's most popular Mac. In MacBook Air, the speed of M1 exceeds 98% of PC notebook chips sold last year. In addition to M1's industry-leading energy efficiency, MacBook Air also presents this performance with a fanless design, which means that no matter what the user does, it is completely silent. At the same time, the new MacBook Air has extraordinary battery life. The wireless Internet time can be up to 15 hours, and the video playback time can be up to 18 hours, which is the longest battery life of MacBook Air.

13-inch MacBook Pro: more powerful and more Pro

The 13-inch MacBook Pro is Apple's most popular professional-grade laptop. With the support of the M1 chip and Big Sur, the 13-inch MacBook Pro has become more powerful and professional. The 8-core CPU and the active cooling system of the MacBook Pro are up to 2.8 times faster than the previous generation. It provides the performance of rewriting the rules of the game when compiling code, transcoding images, editing high-resolution photos and more . The 8-core GPU speeds up to 5 times faster, allowing users to enjoy ultra-smooth graphics processing performance when designing games or new products that require a lot of graphics processing.

Mac mini: Amazing performance, super compact design

Mac mini is Apple's most versatile computer. It is now equipped with an M1 chip. It also offers amazing performance and many outstanding new features with a sophisticated design. M1 is equipped with an 8-core CPU. Compared with the previous generation, the performance can be increased by up to 3 times. It can greatly accelerate the processing of the compilation of millions of lines of code, and the production of huge multi-track music projects and other heavy workloads. The 8-core GPU improves graphics processing performance by up to 6 times, allowing Mac mini to easily handle complex 3D calculations and other tasks that require high performance. The processing speed of ML workloads has also been dramatically improved, up to 15 times faster than the previous generation. Compared with the best-selling Windows desktop computers in the same price range, the Mac mini's body size is only one-tenth of its size, but its performance is increased by up to 5 times5.
