2020 iPhone decided to use 5nm process processor and Qualcomm X55 5G Modem

Reports from the Nikkei Asia Review. The new iPhone in 2020 will use Qualcomm's X55 5G Modem, while the A14 processor will use TSMC's 5nm process.

The report said that Apple will use Qualcomm Snapdragon X55 5G Modem in the new 2020 iPhone. This Modem uses 7nm process to support up to 7Gbps download speed and 3Gbps upload speed, supporting all major channels, including mmWave and below 6GHz.

In addition, the A14 processor will be produced by TSMC's 5nm process in 2020. It will only be supplied to Apple and Huawei for the time being. It is believed that the performance and power consumption of the processors of the two companies will further lead Qualcomm and Samsung.
